Board ProfilesAlison Fitch - Registrar
A NZ Swimming Rep and NZ Surf Titleholder and is a qualified swim teacher. Teresa is an active swimmer, surfer, scuba diver, skier and cyclist and has children involved with various aquatic sports. Teresa is currently the Drowning Prevention Manager at WaterSafe Auckland and manages staff and projects specifically related to water safety education and awareness. Teresa is a member of the Management Groups for both Counties Manukau and Auckland City Injury Prevention projects and is currently Chair of ShoreSafe.
While the dry Namibian climate where Willem grew up, is not always associated with swimming, Willem always had an interest in the sport. This interest took momentum in the past few years when his 2 boys started to swim competitively. Willem is a qualified time keeper and has served as the secretary on the committee for Coast Swim Club (2 years). In between swimming, Willem is an Account Director at Infotools, a specialised market research software and database service company. He is responsible for service provided to clients in the USA and Africa.
For the last 20 years Gwen has worked at Waterhole Swimming Centre Limited teaching the whole range of swimming lessons from babies through to advanced, learn to swim and adults, and coached the whole range of competitive levels from level 3 through to international. A qualified level 2 coach and development coach who has over the last 4 to 5 years has been involved in ASA's Competitive Swimming Group. Gwen is a director of Waterhole Swimming Centre and it’s Business Manager.
Suzanne has been involved over the last 8 years with her 4 children in competitive swimming in Auckland. 2003 to 2005 Suzanne was a member of the Events Management Group and is an Auckland referee. Outside of the swimming world, Suzanne and her husband Robert have a Town Planning and Resource Management consultancy firm.
