In 1890 the Auckland Swimming Club initiated the move to form the National Association (now called Swimming NZ) and later, when regions, rather than clubs, were to be affiliated directly to the national body, the Auckland Swimming Association was formed in 1906.
The Auckland Swimming Association has 17 affiliated swimming clubs throughout the Auckland Isthmus in the area of Auckland City, Waitakere City, North Shore City and Rodney District as far as Warkworth.
Club Contacts lists information as to President, Secretary, club contact details and the venue at which the specific club trains out of.
